July is a time to celebrate our nation's independence with great outdoor concerts, festivals, cookouts and more!  Waynesboro has so much to offer in the summertime, where good nature comes naturally!
Summer Extravaganza
July 12

 

You don't want to miss the annual celebration! Bring the whole family to Ridgeview Park for a day full of good family fun. There will be arts & crafts vendors from around the state, and a variety of entertainment including live music, and lots of great food! In addition, be sure to check out activities such as the 5& 10K race starting at 8am and of course the grand finale fireworks in the evening.

 5K & 10K Run/Walk Summer Extravaganza

The "feel good" race of the year...over $8,000 has been raised to assist cancer patients during treatments thanks to this race. Held in conjunction with Waynesboro's biggest summer party - Summer Extravaganza!!!

Rock N' Ridgeview

Join us for this FREE music series. Grab a blanket & meet up with family and friends on Wednesday evenings from 6:00-8:00 at the amphitheater. Food and drinks will be available for purchase.

Lookout For The Cookout
July 19
All are welcome at the FREE community cookout for the Staunton, Augusta, Waynesboro area!  There will be games including a basketball shoot-out, dance contest, obstacle course, singing contest and more!  Lookout For The Cookout is a fun day of games, music and food for all with special guests and speakers!

Valley League Baseball

The Waynesboro Generals play in the Valley Baseball League, a summer baseball league founded in 1923 that plays in cities and towns in the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia.

 

The league has produced well over 1,000 professional baseball players, including a record 79 former players drafted in the Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft in 2008.

 

The Waynesboro Generals play their home games at Kate Collins Field at Kate Collins Middle School, 1625 Ivy Street, Waynesboro.
