Volunteer of the Month
Gregory Rivera

Gregory Rivera is volunteering for us while he is between projects. Painting is a consistent daily focus in his life. The bridge between cross-cultural communities, civic society, learning institutions, government and industry insights drive his interest. His take on neuroplasticity and community arts development as an integral system: "The artist/scientist has the potential of enabling a higher-periphery intelligence through imagery. Both artist and viewer collaborate to be congruent in higher levels of abstraction."

Gregory has a Ph.D. from the School of Consciousness and Transformation at the California Institute of Integral Studies. He trained at the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History, Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, Pratt Institute in NYC and the Visible Language Workshop at the MIT Media Lab in Cambridge. Additional academic work at Harvard University, Antioch University, Goddard College and Texas Christian University (Nolan Award).
