HPS Offers Enclosed Option to Existing Centurion R Reactor Line

HPS has announced the availability of our Centurion R reactor with an enclosed option, providing customers with a complete reactor solution.

The HPS Centurion R is available as an open core and coil, Type 1 (as standard) or Type 3R (as special) enclosed unit.  These rugged steel ventilated enclosures are constructed for indoor use to provide protection to the reactor against the ingress of solid foreign objects as well as protection to personnel against access to hazardous parts.  The HPS Centurion R enclosed units may be ordered complete from HPS, or a partner may combine a core and coil unit with the enclosure in their authorized facility.

HPS Appoints Jay Davis as Chief Operations Officer

HPS has named Jay Davis as their Chief Operations Officer.

 

Mr. Davis will be responsible for all aspects of Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quality in North America, as well as all functional responsibilities for HPS in Europe and Asia.

 

For the last six years, Mr. Davis was the Global Vice President for Volvo based in Brussels, Belgium.  He was responsible for multiple facilities globally that build heavy equipment for Volvo, with experience in lean manufacturing and building high performance teams.

Reorganization of North American Sales Team

To help achieve a higher level of support across our Canadian Sales organization, HPS is pleased to announce the appointment of Jacqui Shannon as Quotations Supervisor and Patti Holmes as Customer Service Supervisor.  

 

Jane Courtenay has also moved into the new position of Strategic Accounts Supervisor.
 

We believe that this structural change will greatly benefit HPS, our sales network, and our customers.

HPS Website tools to support customers needs

Did you know that the HPS website has many tools to assist you with selecting a transformer and provides resources to answer frequently asked questions:

 

Part number look-up tool - Enter any transformer or reactor part number (competitor or HPS)  and the search will display the equivalent HPS part number, as well as link to the product page in the catalog and the website.  

 

Technical support area - Find answers to your questions!  Features include a Frequently Asked Questions and Troubleshooting tips area, and links to Installation Manuals and Instruction Sheets. Users can also search by keyword or category.

 

Catalog Flipbooks - Our two main Catalogs (Catalog of Standard Products and Power Catalog) are both available in a Flipbook and PDF format. Our Flipbook option allows users to search by part number or keyword, as well as zoom, view index, download pdfs, email, and print. 

HPS and National Material LP announce formation of a new Company

HPS has completed the formation of a new company, Corefficient S. de R.L. de C.V. ("Corefficient"), a joint venture with National Material LP ("NMLP").
 

Corefficient will design, manufacture and market energy efficient electrical cores, a major component used in the manufacture of dry-type and liquid filled transformers.  Read more

DOE 2016 Information

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) amended the current energy efficiency standards for distribution transformers.  The new standard will come into effect on January 1st 2016.
