START SEEING CROCHET
Crochet Twin Cities Community & Library Galleries
When you hear the word crochet, you might think of the granny square afghan that draped on the back of the couch at your grandma's house. This exhibition by Crochet Twin Cities will open your eyes to the world of crochet that goes beyond the granny square. From tapestry and filet techniques to Irish lace and Tunisian crochet, you will see more than 50 works that show the variation and complexity of this art form.

Want to put your Garage Sale Purchase to GREAT use?
Take the Eco Fashion Challenge Class

Put together a project plan for what you are aiming to create to discuss with rest of the group before the biggest and greatest sustainable textile arts source of the year - Textile Center's Garage Sale! Once you find your treasures to work with, reconvene with the group and get to work in an inspired environment. Enjoy time in the dye lab, time for sewing and embellishing, and introductions or refreshers on skills such as applique, reverse applique, and embroidery while classmates cheer you on to finish a beautiful, sustainable design!
