 Beginning Watercolor & Basic Drawing Skills

In this class, students will learn the fundamental concepts of watercolor painting and best practices with basic drawing skills. Students will complete practice paintings as well as painting of their choice of subject matter. Class will consist of demonstrations, received handouts, samples, and individual instruction. Students should have the basic set-up from the supply list supplied at registration for the first class.

A multi-media experience not to be missed. Explore 5 art stations each week where making a mess is part of the process! You have fun; we clean up! Glitter, glue, painting, collage, playclay we do it all. Art projects continue to change all year long! Process rather than product is emphasized. Projects are age appropriate with the children having the freedom to explore materials at their own pace and in their own way. The class ends on a musical note with singing and dancing and having too much fun. This is a Parental or Caregiver participation class.

Redwood City is going to be sizzling during its 7th annual Salsa Festival, on Saturday September 27th, 2014. Multiple stages featuring a variety of Latin Music, including Salsa and Jazz, will fire up Redwood City with music and dancing all day long. Plus, this year we've expanded our cultural offering with an additional Reggae Stage. Amateur and professional Salsa Chefs will compete for fun, prizes and Salsa Glory. PLUS, there's Tequila Tasting, FREE hands-on art projects, and a Children's Play Area, complete with bounce houses, and more!
