St. Paul's Church

March 27, 2015

"Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky as you hold firmly
to the word of life.  And then I will be able to boast on the day of Christ
that I did not run or labor in vain." (Philippians 2:15-16)

Dear St. Paul's,

First, let me say how totally impressed I am by your seamless transition to worship in our new location at the Garden Club.  You people are stars!  I've heard many of you say that you enjoy the new space even better than the Surf Club.  It's light, airy, and homey.  And now that the kids are meeting right next door at the American Red Cross, they have a space where they can be themselves without worrying if they will disrupt us.  God is so kind to us!  Please let us know if you have any suggestions as we continue to settle in to that new space.

The first week at the Garden Club I asked you, due to the fact that we couldn't carry the Bibles that we normally provide, to bring your Bibles to church.  The vision of St. Paul's is that we will equip you to hold firmly to the Word of God everyday.  You can trust everything that God says.  By contrast, you can't trust much of what you hear in the media.  We want you to be able to take up that double-edged sword to slice through the most vexing issues that you face.  So I'm hoping each week I'll see more bibles as I begin to preach.

And finally, we need your help.  When we were at the Surf Club, we were in a location with high visibility.  People drove by on A1A and saw our signs all of the time.  Now that we are at the Garden Club, we're more hidden.  We're taking steps to advertise our new location in a variety of places.  But the most effective advertisement is word of mouth.  Would you let your friends and neighbors know about our new location, and would you invite them to church?  You all are the most loving group of people I've ever known.  We have so much to offer.  And the excitement will continue to build as our new building starts to take shape.

Thanks again for helping us bring Christ to the world.

Gratefully in Christ,

Pr. Jon
