Monadnock Earth Day Festival

The Monadnock Earth Day Festival, presented by Antioch University New England, celebrates the region's commitment to a healthy community and healthy planet. All are invited to attend this free event next to the Co-op and at the nearby Monadnock Makerspace.

Local community organizations, farmers and artisans will be present to talk about environmental issues and to sell environmentally themed products. There will be activities and crafts for children and families. Local residents and Antioch University New England (AUNE) students will host workshops all afternoon. A silent auction will allow participants a chance to bid for items donated by local businesses. Food will be available for purchase.
The following workshops will be offered for free at the
Monadnock Makerspace, across the street from the Co-op:
- 12:30-1:00 - Healthy Eating on a Budget (presented by members of Keene State College's Dietetic Postgrad Program).
- 1:30-2:00 - Free Yoga Workshop (presented by Keene Yoga Center). Participants are encouraged to bring their own yoga mats.
- 2:30-3:00 - The Benefits of Bats: Create Space for These Helpful Creatures (presented by AUNE student Kaushik Narasimhan).
- 3:30-4:00 - Learn to Crochet Plastic Bags to Create Reusable Tote Bags, Cate Beds and Other Household Objects (presented by AUNE student Amanda Melinchuk). Participants are encouraged to bring their own plastic bags and crochet hooks.
