NCSEJ Board of Governors meeting

NCSEJ held its annual Board of Governors meeting. NCSEJ leadership, representatives of member organizations, Jewish Federations and members of the diplomatic community gathered together to hear U.S. Senator Cory Booker (NJ), State Department Special Envoy on Anti-Semitism Ira Forman, Chief Rabbi of Ukraine Yaakov Bleich, and Boston Jewish Community Relations Council speakers Ann Levin and Dr. James Phillips.     

NCSEJ Executive Director visits the Jewish Federation of Greater Houston

NCSEJ Executive Director Mark Levin was invited by the Houston Federation to brief its Board of Directors and other leaders in the community. He updated them on NCSEJ's recent work in Eurasia, and the latest developments in the Jewish communities in the region. In addition, Mr. Levin addressed a group of young leaders in the community. The Jewish Federation of Greater Houston has a long history of working with the Jewish communities in Eurasia and with NCSEJ.

JCRC/NCSEJ Ukraine Advocacy Day

Boston JCRC, Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago, and NCSEJ leaders held meetings on Capitol Hill, and with representatives from the U.S. Department of State and U.S. Agency for International Development, and with Ukraine Ambassador to the U.S. Olexander Motsyk, to discuss Ukraine's current situation and to advocate for increased humanitarian assistance.
NCSEJ Deputy Director participated in 10th anniversary of OSCE's Berlin Conference on Anti-Semitism.

In her statement, Ms. Weiss called for a new approach to fighting anti-Semitism that "incorporates close cooperation with national law enforcement and education officials, media institutions, and civil society representatives in countries of concern." The conference was attended by hundreds of international organizations and OSCE representatives. Read more.
