In the midst of it all, I had the good sense to pray and so my spiritual awakening began. I say "awakening" because it was the first time I really understood that I needed God. Until that point, I thought I could handle things on my own. Apparently, I was dead wrong.
There is a critical point in your life when you realize that your best thinking brought you to where you are, and it all adds up to ONE BIG MIS-FIRE and disappointment. Fortunately, there is a purely loving Higher Consciousness that responds to our plea for help, and gently puts all the torn pieces of our lives and hearts back together.
I wish we didn't have to fall on our face, or wait until our backs are against the wall to ask for help. Unfortunately, that is usually the way it goes. We play our best hand until there are no more cards to play, or brilliant ideas to be had.
I spent about the last 20 years turning inward for answers. It is my goal to make sure that your journey is MUCH FASTER. I started with a pastor's class (where I asked so many questions that the pastor became annoyed with me), followed by a complete collapse of my life as I knew it, followed by an abrupt introduction to a book called, A Course in Miracles.
