This is the time of year that Extension in Currituck analyzes their performance and provides the public with an update of the impacts of the efforts conducted over the previous year. While 2014 was dedicated in part to celebrating the past 100 years of Extension, outstanding work was still taking place to provide solutions that empower our community to make positive life change.  Read more .
4-H & YOUTH DEVELOPMENT
The Currituck County 4-H Horse Clubs will be holding a Horsemanship School on  April 11-12  at the CCRC in Powells Point.  This event is open to youth between the ages of 5 and 18 that own or lease a horse.  Limited space is also available for "future horsemen" without a horse.  Pre-registration is required.  Read more.
 

 

FAMILY & CONSUMER SCIENCE
The Northeast North Carolina Craft Workshop has been held annually for over 50 years.  If you are looking for a new hobby or perhaps adding to your skillset with a small business idea, this workshop is for you.  The event will be held in Plymouth, NC on May 12 and 13.  Pre-registration is required. Read more.

 

AGRICULTURE
This year's Flower and Garden Show will be held on Friday and Saturday, April 17 and 18. Garden related vendors, educational displays and the "secret garden" for children are just a few of the highlights of the event.  Come on out and get some ideas and supplies for this year's gardening season. Read more.
