Your generosity on behalf of the brave men and women who sacrificed their lives for our freedom will be recognized at the at the official re-opening of the Memorial Room.

The current show, "Figure and Flora" in the Bruce Kershner Gallery at the Main Library features the work of two artists. Benjamin Casiano a Stratford resident, was born and raised in New York City. He has developed his own style and technique, going from photorealism to cubism, influenced by contemporary art. He says, "A blank canvas is your doorstep to any place in the universe."
Monroe resident Chandler Davis says, "My inspiration for this series of paintings came from a visit to the Innisfree Gardens in Pleasant Valley, New York. The secluded lake at its center was rimmed with a large variety of lily pads and flowers that I had never seen before in such a contemplative setting. This enabled me to observe the abstract quality within the larger quantity and variety of aquatic life at the water's edge." Both artists are exhibiting in galleries in New York and New England. The show runs from June 21 to August 10.

Have a Question? Text Us!
Given the fast pace of life these days, it may be more convenient for you to text a librarian than to call or come to the Library. Now you can! Fairfield Public Library now offers a new service, Text a Librarian, that allows patrons to text questions to the Library from their mobile phones. The service does not display phone numbers and generates an anonymous ID for each patron.
It is easy to use! The first time that you use our new service, text the word "START" to 203-347-2507. You will receive a text back from us right away instructing you to text your question. We will get back to you as soon as possible, during Library hours.
