Sandy Hook Ride on Washington - Greenwich Rally
Right now Congress is considering legislation that would force every state to allow virtually anyone to carry a loaded, concealed gun in public. That would mean convicted felons, domestic abusers and other dangerous people from Florida and other states with lax gun laws could legally and secretly carry their guns anywhere in the country, including in Connecticut.

That's why we need your presence at the Greenwich Rally for the Sandy Hook Ride on Washington.

Please join us and our friends, the Greenwich Council Against Gun Violence, at its second annual Greenwich Rally for the Sandy Hook Ride on Washington, taking place at Greenwich Town Hall on Saturday, March 28, 12:30-2:00pm.

For the third year, Team 26 cyclists will ride 400 miles from Newtown to Washington, D.C. to honor victims of gun violence and raise awareness for common-sense gun safety laws. The ENOUGH Campaign is proud to be a partner in this year's rally, along with the Brady Campaign Southwestern CT Chapter and the leading statewide gun safety advocacy organization, CT Against Gun Violence.

In addition to advocating for universal background checks, the Rally will support proposed CT and federal laws aimed at reducing gun violence directed at women in domestic abuse situations.

Scheduled speakers include Senator Richard Blumenthal, Congressman Jim Himes, Lt. Governor Nancy Wyman and others.

"Connecticut leads the nation in protecting its communities from gun violence. We need to make our voices heard so Washington does its part," says Jonathan Perloe, a leader of the Greenwich Council Against Gun Violence.

In the case of inclement weather, the rally will be held inside Town Hall. Please direct questions to [email protected].
