Thanksgiving Holiday Service & Detour Information
November 27-29

Thanksgiving Holiday Service, Nov. 27-28

On Thursday, November 27, Capital Metro will operate its Sunday bus schedule in observance of Thanksgiving Day. There will be no MetroRail, UT Shuttle, Night Owl or E-Bus service on Thanksgiving Day.

The day after Thanksgiving, Friday, November 28, Capital Metro will operate its Saturday bus schedule, with no MetroRail, UT Shuttle or E-Bus service.

On both Nov. 27 and Nov. 28, MetroAccess subscription trips will be cancelled. Customers who need to keep their subscription trips on these days should call 512-852-7272 to schedule them.

Capital Metro administrative offices and the Transit Store will be closed November 28 and 29, however customers will also have 24-hour access to the automated phone line and online trip planner.

Service returns to its regular schedule on Saturday, Nov. 29.

Turkey Trot, Nov. 27

Due to the Turkey Trot on November 27, the South 1st bridge, Cesar Chavez and Lake Austin Blvd. area will be affected from start on service until 12:30 p.m.

The following routes will be detoured: 1, 2 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 30, 37, 100, 801 and 803.

UT Football Game, Nov. 27

Also, due to the UT Football Game on November 27, the Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. and San Jacinto Blvd. will be affected from start of service until end of activities. Catch a ride to the game using Route #7 Duval/Dove Springs or #10 South First/Red River.

The following routes will be detoured: 7, 10, 18, 20, 37, 100 and 412.

Chuy's Parade, Nov. 29

Finally, due to the Chuy's Children Giving to Children Day Parade on November 29, the Congress Ave, Ann Richards Bridge, Cesar Chavez area will be affected from start of service until 2 p.m.

The following routes will be detoured: 2, 4, 6, 7, 10, 17, 19, 20, 21, 22, 37, and 100.

Capital Metro would like to remind riders: Please catch your bus at any official Capital Metro bus stop while the route is on detour, alert your bus operator by waving as the vehicle approaches and prior to boarding, confirm route name and number by checking the digital marquee.
