2 weeks of hands on workshops
July 10-26, 2015
Have you ever wanted to try your hand at blacksmithing? Would you like to make a stained glass suncatcher or fused glass pendants? How about turning a wooden bowl or making a broom?
There are so many crafts that would be exciting and fun to explore. Just to name a few, you can: create your own jewelry in copper or brass; knit a scarf; craft a corn shuck doll; learn the art of soapmaking; make a mosaic tray; make handmade, recycled paper; learn the art of fabric dyeing; weave a basket, explore the ancient art of bonsai; hone your skills as a photographer; make a cutting board... There are over 300 sessions to choose from at this popular, annual event, all led by outstanding professional artists from Berea and beyond. The classes range in length from two hours to three days and in price from $9 to $303.
Crafts not your thing? Maybe you'd prefer to take a class in dulcimer, storytelling, gardening, aquaponics, theater, or poetry? The Festival of Learnshops has something for just about any taste. Registration is open, and classes are already beginning to fill up, so go to
