Week Four: November 23rd - 29th 


Scripture:

"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go."  
Joshua 1:9

 

Today's Action:

Thank God for giving you the strength to make it through today.

Buy a few extra bags of dog or cat food for a local animal shelter.



Scripture:

"But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."  
Isaiah 40:31

 

Today's Action:

Thank God for the moments when he helped you to soar.

Babysit for free for a young family so that they can have a night out.



Scripture:

"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."
Romans 6:23

 

Today's Action:

Thank God that his gift of life is more powerful than death.

Invite someone to experience Carols with you at FBCR on December 12th, 13th or 14th.  

 


Scripture:

"But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."
Matthew 6:33

 

Today's Action:

Thank God that you are a part of His Kingdom work.

Volunteer serving meals to the homeless.

 


Scripture:

"But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect." 
1 Peter 3:15

 

Today's Action:

Thank God for all the relationships in your life.

Talk to someone who is from a different faith background from you.

"All scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness."

Today's Action:

Thank God for his Word and all the ways it helps you.

Write a thank you note to someone who has taught you from the Word of God.

"But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed."
