Dear ,

OK, it's November so here's the November newsletter update. We're moving into our busy time of the year. Missions are starting formation. In the next couple months there will be 5 major missions in some stage of formation or in the field. There's a lot going on so let's get into it.

Faith Promise Dinner

On November 7th we will gather again for our annual Faith Promise Dinner. Doors open at 6:00pm and dinner starts at 7:00pm. Fr. Joaquin, pictured to the right, will be the keynote speaker. Many people have asked about stopping by and seeing him. Unfortunately Fr. Joaquin is only here for a few days before he needs to go back to Argentina. The only time you will really have a chance to meet him is at the Faith Promise Dinner.  We are filling tables now. We have many requests and are working on seating everyone based on their request. However, with Fr. Joaquin speaking, tables are filling, and if you are still holding on to your invitation we may not be able to seat you with those you would like to sit with. We can always put up a few extra tables, but it will be the over flow. If you didn't receive an invitation, we can fix that. Just call 815 221-6258 or email [email protected]. We have a table for you.

Mission update

We have three missions in planning at the moment.

The University Mission lead by Natalie is scheduled to leave for the Philippines on 12/28/14 and return 1/11/15. What a way to celebrate the New Year. They had to leave earlier this year because of the Pope visiting the Philippines. They will be doing work similar to what they have done in previous years.

The Medical/Construction/Outreach mission to the Philippines starts formation November 11th. The doctors have been working on the supplies to bring with this year. The first shipment of supplies has been sent to Borongan. We will be packing duffel bags with the remaining supplies shortly. We are scheduled to visit the Philippine consulate the week of November 10th. Must be a busy place. We had to wait for an appointment. We have a full team of people from around the world. How cool is that!

The Medical/Construction/Outreach mission to Sucre is accepting applications for the April mission. We need your application by November 21st. Thanks to those who came to the information meeting on the 22nd of October. The dates of the mission are April 11th through the 25th. We already have people committing to the mission. Any questions call 815 221-6258 or email [email protected].

Polo shirts and hoodies

Over the years of mission the office has provided the opportunity to purchase shirts and other apparel promoting missions. If you are interested in purchasing a polo shirt or one of our new hoodies contact Jeanne at 815-221-6258. We have some polos in the tan color and we now have them in a navy blue color, very sharp looking. The hoodies are also a navy blue color. Check with Jeanne and she'll take care of you.
