Book Sale

Oct. 24th -Nov. 8th

The Friends of the Dover Public Library's Annual Book Sale is off to a roaring start and despite selling a few thousand dollars worth of books, it barely looks like we've sold any. In other words, come by and see what treasures we have in the book sale that you need in your collection. Starting November 3-8 the prices drop to $1 per bag of books, and after Nov. 10th the remaining books are FREE! Your support for this invaluable fundraiser allows the library to provide museum passes, programs and special events. The Friends are also selling raffle tickets to win either a basket of brand new children's books or a basket of new adult titles, your choice. Tickets are $5 each or 5 tickets for $20. The winners will be drawn on November 10th.

Holiday Craft

Take a break from shopping and spend some time with family or friends to make a beautiful holiday craft. On Saturday November 29th at 11am we will be making the 3D paper snowflake shown here. This is a great project for children aged 10 and older and adults. The Library will provide the paper, tape, and scissors. It is recommended that your bring your own mini stapler, but not required. A maximum of 12 people may register for this craft workshop. If there is sufficient demand, additional workshops may be scheduled in December. The finished snowflake is nearly 2 feet in diameter. Using Lists in Our Catalog

Many patrons ask if we have a list of their previously checked out items. Unfortunately, our system does not keep your checkout history. BUT you can use the list function in our catalog to keep a log of what you've read, or want to read. Sign in to your Library account using the 14 digits on the back of your card and the last four numbers of your phone number. Once logged in you'll see a tab called "your lists" on the left side of the screen. You can create a new list or view lists already created. You can also search for a title to add to your list, or click on titles you currently have out and add one that way. We're happy to help you set this up if you think this might be something that would be useful to you.
