Grace Fellowship Announces
"SABOT"

A new year is coming. In some settings, that suggests the formulation of New Year Resolutions, most of which are forgotten or abandoned in short order. The resolutions may be honorable, necessary, and even life changing -- if actually implemented. But those resolutions aren't usually shared with anyone other than one's spouse, if even that. In other words, we are going to try to change old habits by exercising our own strengths and disciplines with a Lone Ranger attitude. The question is, why do we wait until the new year? If habits or activities need to be changed, why haven't we already taken the necessary steps to accomplish the change? And why do we not follow up on the resolutions that we do make? Could it be a lack of belief and accountability? The attitude that "nobody knows about my resolutions and whether or not I keep them, so what difference does it make?"

That's just one of the many issues we'll address in the new Men's Ministry to be led by Chuck Wood in 2015 and beyond. The overall objective of this ministry will be, among others, Sharing, Accountability, Bible Application, Outreach, and Training Ministry -- SABOT Ministry, for short.

We'll hold our initial meeting on Saturday, January 3, 2015 from 7 AM to 9 AM, and follow with the same presentation/issue discussions on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 from 6 PM to 8 PM. Thereafter, we will follow this same sequence, i.e. (repeating the issues/discussions on Wednesday that were addressed on Saturday). This is so that those unable to attend on Saturday mornings will hopefully be able to attend on Wednesday evenings or be able to attend one or the other as your schedules allow. For your planning purposes, we will be meeting on the first and third Saturday and Wednesday of each month. All meetings will be held in Grace Fellowship Community Center, unless otherwise advised.
