Project Highlights

Burlington County Association of School Administrators (NJ)

Thirty-six superintendents, members of the Burlington County Association of School Administrators, attended an education session hosted by Dr. Christopher Manno. The Situation Appraisal session focused on sorting out the complex issues administrators face every day, demonstrating how to involve the appropriate stakeholders and build capacity within their administrative team to address high priority issues with action plans that build responsibility and accountability.

North Hanover Township School District (NJ)

Dr. Helen Payne, Superintendent of the North Hanover Township School district is building the capacity of her new administrative team using TregoED strategies. They started their training with Situation Appraisal, focusing on sorting the many complex issues that they deal with every day. They will follow up with Decision Analysis training in the New Year.

John Guyer

John Guyer, Executive Director of Information Technology at Summit Academies, invited TregoED to work with the executive team in developing a strategic plan to guide the largest charter school organization in the state of Ohio dedicated to students and adults with special needs. Through John's collaborative leadership style and keen understanding of the organization, a stakeholder group gave valuable input as well as identified a strategic leadership team of seven. John kept the momentum at a high level during the 3 month process. Working closely with Patricia Schwarber of TregoED to design and develop the 3 year strategy, the end result was a detailed implementation plan, approved by the Board of Trustees in a unanimous decision at their board meeting. That decision was very much a result of the leadership and dedication of John Guyer, who continues to build capacity by practicing critical thinking strategies with his executive team at Summit Academy Management. As John says, "Take a minute: look at your goals, look at your performance, and see if your behavior matches your goals." That is why great leadership is the reality at Summit Academy Management!

Case Study Demonstrates KT Strategies Break Down Workplace Silos

Decision making is often rife with issues resulting from lack of coordination and communication between departments working as independent silos. A recent case study by the Colorado Springs School District 11 Grants Office demonstrates how one school district addressed interdepartmental conflict and the resulting ineffective management. The district implemented TregoED training on an approach developed by Kepner-Tregoe, an international leader in building the problem-solving and decision-making capacity of organizations to achieve true collaboration.
