Magra Overcrossing Project-Related Closures

Motorists can expect the following closures during the project's first lift process and for miscellaneous project-related structure work

September 19 and September 20

I-80 at Magra Road: Motorists can expect various east and westbound lanes closed from 10PM to 7 AM tonight and tomorrow night.

September 21 - October 13

I-80 on Rollins Lake Road/Magra Road: Motorists can expect a full closure of the local overcrossing starting this Sunday, September 21 through Monday, October 13.

September 21 - 26

I-80 at Magra Road: Motorists can expect various east and westbound lanes closed from 7PM to 9AM on Sunday, 9/21; Monday, 9/22; Thursday, 9/25; and Friday, 9/26 for miscellaneous structure work.

September 23 - 24

I-80 from Bell Road to State Route 20: Motorists can expect a full highway closure from 10:30PM to 5AM Tuesday, September 23 and Wednesday, September 24 for the lifting process.

A detour is available using the State Route 20/49 corridor. This is a 56-mile detour. Motorists should expect strict CHP speed enforcement.

All westbound commercial vehicles are subject to CHP inspection and escort during the detour.
I-80 at Magra Road: Motorists can expect the east and westbound #1 lanes closed from 7PM to 9AM (before and after the full closure) on Tuesday, September 23 and Wednesday, September 24 for miscellaneous structure work.

Reminder: Interstate 80 at Rollins Lake Road/Magra Road (Exit 139)

The on and off-ramp at Rollins Lake Road/Magra Road on westbound I-80 is closed until October 31. Motorists are advised to take the Secret Town exit.

Be Work Zone Alert

We remind drivers to slow their speed in the work zone. Workers are working within inches of live traffic. Traffic is unpredictable and sudden slowing or stopping may occur. Please do not peer into work zones as this can cause collisions if drivers are not paying attention to their driving.
