Raise80 Jacking Lift Process

The video below, taken during the Penryn overcrossing lift on November 12 and 13, explains how the lift process is done. This lift process is the same on six of the nine lifts. The other three structures will achieve their vertical clearance by lowering the roadway through dig out and adding drainage.

Be Work Zone Alert

About the Vertical Clearance "Raise80" Project
This project will increase the vertical clearance of nine overpasses on I-80 between Magra and Loomis. Six of the structures will have the bridge deck raised and the remaining three structures will have the roadway below lowered to achieve the necessary clearance. When complete, all structures will meet today's federal clearance standards for high profile vehicles and national defense.
