These Presentations Evolved into Providing Education Related to ASD at Public Forums.

Mario has been a public speaker and educator related to understanding Autism over the past 9 years. He initially started presenting as an 8 th  grade student in order to facilitate an understanding for his peers, what it was like to be diagnosed having an Autism Spectrum Disorder.

These presentations evolved into providing education related to ASD at public forums such as Agawam School Board, Agawam High School, Holyoke Community College, Berkshire Hills Music Academy, and multiple times with Community Resources For People With Autism.

Mario has received the 2008-2009 Matthew Dandurand Award for his work in Autism Awareness, The Association For Community Living Achievement Award for self-advocacy and advocating for community service funding at various public events, most notably at the State House on April 9, 2012, and a recipient of the Paul D'Amato Volunteer Award June 11, 2013.  Mario brings to each presentation his unique understanding of what life is like for him as an individuals with ASD.
