2014-2015 Faculty Grants
SAI offers research and travel grants for Harvard faculty working in fields related to South Asia to promote South Asian studies across the University, and to stimulate interdisciplinary research. This year's awards focus on female education, painted palm-leaf manuscripts in medieval South Asia, rapidly urbanizing cities, mass casualty incident and disaster response, and the use of mobile technology in Pakistan.

Commencement exercises were held at Harvard University on May 29, 2014. Former SAI students, including student interns, Graduate Student Associates, and grant recipients received degrees from various Harvard schools. SAI wishes all students the best of luck in their future endeavors!
A Year In Review
2013-2014 was a landmark year for SAI. In its tenth year, SAI serves as a platform for cross-disciplinary studies, including programs related to science, social entrepreneurship, gender justice and criminal law, public health and more. Take a look back at SAI's academic year with the Annual Report.

The objective of the conference is to explore the linkages among development, garment sector and health and safety issues in Bangladesh. The seminar is bringing together experts, industry people, NGO representatives and practitioners from development agencies and high level policy makers from Bangladesh and the USA. Register.
