Welcome!
Pastor Stephen King & the Memorial Tabernacle family welcome you to our weekly newsletter. We invite you to become a part of this growing ministry that is "reaching to teach, teaching to change" one person and one block at a time. Find your place to GROW into the person God has designed you to be!
Notes from Sunday's Sermon
"A RIGHT NOW PRAISE!" (Luke 1:46-49):

All Mary has is a promise and some problems, but she makes the promise bigger than the problems so the problems don't prohibit her praise. Why? Because she is trusting in the promise. Because she knows that if God said it, he can back it up!

Somebody reading this needs to learn how to praise on a promise in spite of the problems that seem to be standing in your way. You need to learn how to thank God for what he has told you he is going to do. You don't need to have it before you learn to shout about it. As a matter of fact, it's your praise that will help you get through the problems. Your praise becomes the power that propels you through your problems. Why? Because you are magnifying God, making God bigger than what is trying to stand in your way, and while it might be too much for you, it's not too much for God.

I'm pregnant with possibility, and that's enough to make me shout! It will be some months before it comes to fruition, but I will not wait until it comes forth to shout. I am shouting just because I am a blessing with a blessing on the way! It's going to be rough along the way, but I will shout my way through difficulties. I may not see it yet, but I can shout about it because a baby does not become a baby when a mother holds it; a baby is a baby when a mother conceives it! Spiritually speaking, my possibility has already been conceived in me. I'm just waiting for it to be born, but I will not wait until then to shout about it. I'm gonna shout right now!

Sincerely in Christ,

A Mission-Driven Church

Our Mission...
The Memorial Tabernacle Church has come together by the Holy Spirit for the specific purpose of preaching and teaching the word of God, (the Bible), and about Jesus Christ, God's son, and to proclaim the gospel of the Kingdom of God to the North Oakland Community and its environs; to bring healing to the brokenhearted and deliverance to the oppressed.

Our Foundation...
Fellowship "And let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more, as you see the day drawing near." (Hebrews 10:24-25)

Prayer "Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition (definite requests), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God."

(Philippians 4:6)

" Worship Let us therefore, receiving a kingdom that is firm and stable and cannot be shaken, offer to God pleasing service and acceptable worship, with modesty and pious care and godly fear and awe."

(Hebrews 12: 28
