It's hard to believe we are solidly into fall with the countdown to winter fully underway. No matter what the season, JFCS is here to serve our community in a multitude of ways. Whether working with youth in our community or partnering with other organizations such as JCRC and We Day, our presence in the community is felt each and every day. Consider joining in and supporting our programs this fall!

Healthy Youth-Healthy Communities Interns Needed

We need a few energetic and committed college students to help promote healthy lifestyle choices to youth and teens in grades 5-12. Interns help with a variety of programming, covering topics such as substance abuse, healthy relationships, stress and anxiety, and more. The time commitment is just a few hours each month and the experience looks great on a rsum.

Interns also will assist at the 2015 Healthy Youth-Healthy Communities Conference on Sunday, March 15, 2015.

This opportunity is ideal for students in psychology, sociology, education or other related fields. To see the full job posting, click here. Rsums and cover letters can be sent to [email protected].

Support Voting Rights

Join in for an important Jewish community social justice project. The focus will be on a voting rights campaign that will be carried out during the next state legislative session, and possibly advocacy at the national level in support of the Voting Rights Amendment Act to restore voting rights provisions recently struck down by the Supreme Court.

Meetings will take place in November and December.

For more information contact Bryan Goltzman at [email protected].
