   From the Spiritual Life Office
From Our Seminarian, Evan Winter

For the weeks of January 18-31:

This week we especially thank God for the gift of life.  I'm the oldest of seven children, and, while I remember with delight every time my mom would go to the hospital and come home with a baby, I also remember that these little bundles of joy could turn into a screaming wreck, or a plain old annoying little brother or sister at the drop of a hat.  People in difficult circumstances with young children, or unborn children in the womb, sometimes find it hard to remember that these children, too, are a gift from God who need to be loved and nurtured, not cast aside or aborted.

Never forget the joy and the beauty of all new human life!
