SUMMERLAND, BC:  Summerland's All Candidates Forum is expected to draw a large number of local residents eager to hear the views of a full slate of candidates. The Summerland Chamber of Commerce and the Summerland Review are co-hosting the forum on November 4 at the Summerland Secondary School gym, where the five Mayoral candidates and the 16 Council candidates will answer questions. The event will be moderated by local business consultant, Wilfred Barranoik. 

Due to the large number of candidates who will be speaking, there will not be an open microphone and the public is asked to pre-submit their questions.  Selected questions will be chosen by the Moderator and the Editor of the Review.

• Questions for the candidates can be submitted by email to the Editor of the Summerland Review [email protected], or the Manager of the Chamber of Commerce [email protected].  The deadline for emailed questions is November 2nd.  Questions can also be dropped off at the Summerland Review office at 13226 N Victoria Street or at the Summerland Chamber Office at 15600 Hwy 97 by close of business October 31.

• The November 4 forum will be held at the Summerland Secondary School gymnasium and will begin at 6:30pm (Doors open at 6pm). It will run in two parts, starting with questions for the Mayoral candidates, followed by questions for the Council candidates.
