Tlar:     IS INTEL ANY GOOD?

When I first started getting intel I was skeptical. It was when I knew for sure Mahdi was a shoe in to be PM. He was in the news daily as they too had focused on him as the front runner.

Then came the intel that Abadi would be the new PM. Abadi, I had thought as an important member of Dawa, was a Maliki supporter. I discounted the intel thinking it was foolish.

Abadi had not even been in the news as a candidate at that time. I stuck with Mahdi and to my surprise Abadi surfaced ultimately as the front runner and then became the new PM.

If you read my posts from this period I stuck with Mahdi almost until the end. Abadi to me came out of nowhere. He wasn't even a dark horse to me as I could not fathom that he, a DAWA member being elected PM. So is intel always wrong?

We know this situation is fluid. Intel can change at any time based on the facts on the ground.

Tlar: Integrity Commission Verified Maliki's Guilt

Tlar The integrity just verified our suspitions. At most the SOL should have received about 45 MPs not the over 90 they claim they got.

The rest were stolen from Diyala and the 2 million ballets that were supposed to go to the Sunni's.

Maliki had these votes filled out by the army for himself and a bunch of hand chosen candidates many of which turned against him once in office.

WE CAN SEE THAT THE BUDGET WOULD BE IMPACTED IN A POSITIVE WAY WITH A RE-INSTATEMENT!!

CAUTION! THIS IS ONLY MY OPINION!

I BELIEVE A RATE LESS THAN 3 DOES DAMAGE TO THE NOTE COUNT THEREFORE A RATE OVER THREE IS WHAT I BELIEVE WE WILL SEE FOR A RE-INSTATEMENT!

OF COURSE I COULD BE WRONG! DELTA HAS EXPRESSED HIS OPINION AND FRANK HIS. NO ONE KNOWS FOR SURE!

Interesting conference call last night, it proved to me that some of what we were seeing this past weekend in news was suspect at best.....reason to be extra cautious with what we grab and try to run with.....thanks Delta...thanks Frank for a great call in all aspects....kind of a mini-series last night was.....now let's look for a heartbeat today and see what happens.....oh pardon me I have oil all over my fingers.....how messy that can be.....when used properly it serves as a wonderful lubricant for engine parts.....watch as it is built into a law for Iraq to lubricate may parts of the world.

Parliamentary Economic announce the existence of the possibility to reduce the deficit in the federal budget

So the Finance Committee met on Monday and walked away without making any progress, yet they do recognize the way to reduce the deficit is through increases from within the private sectors of Iraq's economy.....old news....

WELL, TO LOOK FOR ANSWERS WE NEED TO STEP BACK AND LOOK MORE MACRO!

THE LOWER OIL PRICES ARE HELPING THE U.S. CONSUMER BIG TIME! THIS IS STARTING TO HELP MAIN STREETS' ECONOMY.

SPENDING LESS AT THE PUMP IS TRANSLATING INTO MORE CONSUMER SPENDING WHICH IS HELPING THE US ECONOMY. SO WHAT'S THE PROBLEM?

Iraq's Amnesty and De-Baathification Laws

The Amnesty law is important in Iraq because it will appease the Sunnis. Since Abadi has been the prime minister, he's been working hard to right the wrongs committed against the Kurds. That is very good for our investment in the Dinar because it will lead to the implementation of the Oil & Gas Law (HCL); however, the Sunnis are still waiting.

Many Sunnis were illegally imprisoned and to this day, over 100,000 prisoners remain in jail without the chance for a trial and without having been charged with any crimes. The Amnesty Law was part of the reconciliation process. On March 27, 2008, the Presidential Council ratified it, making it official. The Sunni Iraqi Accordance Front and the Sadrists were the main supporters of the act because up to 80% of those detained are Sunnis, and the Sadrists have faced a wave of arrests by government forces. Maliki was using the 'De-baathification Law", which I'll explain next, to arrest Sunnis as if they were members of the Baathist party.
