Summer Farm and Lake Tour
Join us for the 2014 Summer Farm and Lake Tour presented by Friends of Northern Lake Champlain, Franklin Watershed Committee, UVM Extension, Farmer's Watershed Alliance.
Visit farms and farmers implementing conservation practices in our watershed and then tour a camp on Carmi implementing the Lake Wise Program!
This is a FREE Event and Lunch is included thanks toy Champlain Valley Equipment and their commitment to clean water and healthy soils.
Tentative Agenda
- 10:00am - 10:30 - Meet at Franklin Elementary School and head out on the bus
- 11:00am - Larry Gervais Dragline Demonstration
- Drive by Wagner's Farm to see silage leachate and Drive by Benjamin's Farm to see Methane Digester
- 12:30pm - Head to Bridgemanview Farm in Franklin for Lunch and a tour
- 2:30pm - Visit Camp on Lake Carmi that is Lake Wise Certified and hear about the program being implemented at Lake Carmi
- 3:30pm - Head back to your cars
