Hey there!

If you were following the madness on Facebook, or Brian's Instagram account, it was crazy the last couple of weeks when we released his new book, Something Like Magic.
What's really fun is that we've already heard back from you about it. (Yeah, we know we said it was magical, but it's not the same thing as reading it yourself...)

Here's what some of you said:
I've read it four times already and it's only been one day. You've reminded me all over again how much I love this world. Thank you...
Magic. Magic. Magic. Did I say magic? Thankyouthankyouthankyou for all that you do to help us remember.
I received mine today, and I've not even read beyond the second chapter yet, but I already know I want to give these magical words to [my] incredible boys sometime later in life when they'll need these secrets! Truly amazing work...and now I'll read the rest of the book!!

But that's not why we wanted to send you a note today. What we really wanted to do was say Thank you. We can't tell you what it means to be on the receiving end of all the love & care & thanks you sent to us these past few weeks...

It may be difficult to believe because there's so much marketing-speak out there everywhere you go, but we truly are grateful that we have a chance to do this work. That we get to come in each day & talk with people like you about what really matters in life.

In a way, it's like being kids again where we get to pull out the dress-up box with wild colored feather boas & glittery sequins & capes & what have you & then we sit down together around it & we find the perfect story for your life. Stories that remind you & the people you love that the world is a magical & beautiful place. Stories that say how you feel about them deep inside, in that place where the day has quieted down & all that matters is our heartbeats in the soft night.

We can't tell you how often we hear stories from you that take our breath away. About the work you're doing to love the world. About tragedy & despair & how you've gone through it & come out the other side & have chosen joy & wonder & delight because it's the only thing that makes sense.

Yes, there's serious work to be done in our world. But we believe serious work is done best with light hearts. That your most serious work requires the best of you & that means letting your wild laughter & creativity & love bubble out in everything you do. It's exactly why we do what we do here. It's why we laugh & dance around & eat chocolate & give each other hugs as often as we can.

We think that Come As You Are, from the new book, says it best. For those of you who haven't read it yet, here it is, from all of us to all of you:
The funny thing is you were invited from the very beginning & maybe you forgot. Or listened to someone else who forgot.
But, just so you know, we're going to keep inviting you, again & again, until you remember. So, you might as well jump in now with us & start living before it gets out of hand.

Thank you for jumping in with us in this great, big, beautiful place we call home. It is our great joy to have you here with us...

Until next, with love,

The Crew at StoryPeople

P.S. After the dust settled, we were finally able to get to all the other requests you sent in from the new book. Like prints & wristwraps. (The prints will take a bit of time, since Brian has to do the artwork for them, & yes, Amanda, we put your request at the top...:-)) But the wraps are a whole lot easier, so we've set some up for you right now as custom wrist wraps, if you can't wait. (Or the ones like Say Yes that are already there...)

With love, us
