Blues Brothers Band Headlines Stellar Band Line-Up for Blues, Brews, & BBQ
Westland, MI - The Soul Men, a Blues Brothers Tribute Band, and a slate of other stellar local bands will put the "Blues" into this year's All-American Blues, Brews, and Barbecue event. This year's event will be held at the new Farmers Market Pavilion, located at 1901 S. Carlson.

Below is the soulful, rocking line-up of music for each day of the event, and the band biographies:

Friday, September 12, 6 pm - 10 pm

6 pm: The Randy Brock Group was formed in 1996 as a power trio with Randy Brock on guitar, Mike Rowe on Bass and Brian Deming on the drums.  The line-up now features Felice Bernardara on drums and Karl Goebel on keys.  For the past 12 years, the band has been a staple of the Detroit live music scene developing their style and talent and have gained a reputation as one of the hardest working bands in Detroit.

8 pm: The Soul Men, Blues Brothers Impersonators, perform a tribute to Joliet Jake and Elwood Blues. The Soul Men's persona, is an uncanny resemblance to "The Blues Brothers". Dressed in black from head to toe, displaying finger tattoos, The Soul Men impersonate Jake & Elwood to perfection. The Soul Men's performance is a high energy, fast paced, audience participating routine. They perform all the favorite "Blues Brothers" songs, and get the audience moving and dancing.

Saturday, September 13, 12 pm - 10 pm

12 pm: The Big Bill Harwell Band is a top-notch blues band based out of the Flint, MI area. Fronting the band is singer/guitar player William "Big Bill" Harwell. From the very first note you realize that Big Bill is the real deal, a true bluesman. For over 35 years he has been playing nothing but the blues. His love and respect for the music shows in his guitar playing and singing in every performance.

2 pm: The Chris Canas Band. Originally trained in his middle school's marching band on the cornet, Chris then attended the Ann Arbor School of Performing Arts in the Jazz performance group. He fell in love with guitar and began playing daily. He wants to take the blues to the younger generation and keep it alive for veteran fans. Chris's dream is for everyone to love the blues as much as he does.

4 pm: The Alligators have been playing this kind of music, in their own unmistakable way, for 28 years. This "attitude" they bring to the stage each night has everything to do with their respect for the blues and their love of playing it together as a band. Whether it's local clubs in the metro Detroit area or premier clubs and festivals throughout the Midwest, The Alligators are longstanding favorites of music lovers that like to have a good time!
