Hello, Vendors!

urban craft uprising

Important information this week about preparing your swag, checking your booth stats, and important fireproofing information.  Read on!
Start Thinking About Your Swag

swag Swag is due November 21st!  That may seem a long way off, but the earlier you start planning, the better your swag will be.

Don't know what we're talking about when we say "swag"?  Start by catching up on our Swag 101 page.

This winter the swag minimum will be $40 instead of our usual $25 (or, a $50 fee if you choose not to contriubte). Why? Because this winter marks our 10 year anniversary and we want to celebrate in style. Without our fans, we would not be what we are today and we want to thank them for being loyal customers throughout the years, in an extra-special way.

If you're stumped about what to give for your swag, you can find some great examples on our Swag 101 page as well.

Check Your Stats

magnifying glass Please take a moment to review your booth details over in our Vendor Portal, right there at the top of the page.  This is the information we'll be using to create the booth map, and no changes may be made after this happens.

Find your name in the PDF, and email Lindsey if something doesn't look right.

Again, if you haven't already checked your listing on our vendor page, please make sure to do so today.  There are still a handful of folks who have not submitted their logos (if you don't see your business listed there, that means you!), and we can't get you up on the page if we don't have your image.

*You have until October 10th to submit any changes for either of these listings.

Fireproofing

fireproofing The Fire Marshal has recently been cracking down on shows like ours, and coming to make sure that all our vendor
s are in compliance with the Seattle Fire Department's Fireproofing Codes.

Depending on your booth setup, there may be some hoops you'll have to jump through to make sure you are in compliance, so we recommend getting an early start in thinking about this so you won't be scrambling at the last minute.

This is crucial information, and if the Fire Marshal comes the morning of the show to check and your booth is not in compliance, he will ask you to dismantle your booth and you will not be allowed to vend.  This would obviously be a horrible situation for everyone, so please do your due diligence and read up!

We've compiled a little wiki of advice from vendors who have called in to the Fire Marshal with their questions before, so if you're unsure about whether your booth is in compliance, take a look over there first.  Then, if you still have any questions about how these fire codes pertain to your booth specifically, please direct them to the Fire Marshal directly at 206-386-1450.  (Tom Heun, pronounced "Hoyn," is the name of the Lieutenant who typically comes to check on our show.)
