DCSRN is thrilled to announce the recent award of a $40,000 grant from the William J. and Dorothy K. O’Neill Foundation. This funding will go directly toward expanding the 2014-15 High Quality Schools Campaign (HQSC), which helps familiesparticularly in Wards 7 and 8navigate the DC school application process.

Specifically, DCSRN will use this funding to hire additional parent advocates, who support families representing over 100 students each and ensure they are informed about their quality school options and complete each stage of the application process. Thanks so much to the O'Neill Foundation for their incredible generosity and belief in DCSRN's work!

DCSRN
was also recently highlighted in Greater Greater Washington and elevated to The Washington Post! As the article mentions, there is still more demand for DCSRN's services than capacity to serve everyone. Currently, families representing over 500 students have asked for our help this year and we have enough parent advocates to serve almost 400. Please consider donating to DCSRN during this holiday season and be part of helping ensure every student has access to quality public schools.

We hope to not turn any families away this year so please consider being part of making that happen. Happy Holidays and cheers to a wonderful New Year!
