Kyle Petty Charity Ride Stop-Over to be at EWM May 2.

Kyle Petty Charity RideThe
The Woodland Auto Display is hosting a stop-over for the Kyle Petty Celebrity cross-country Charity Ride on Saturday, May 2d.  We will be their first break for lunch while on the first leg of their journey from Santa Cruz, CA to Branson, MO.  More information on the ride can be found by clicking on the picture to the right.

There will be a need to have plenty of volunteers on hand to handle all sorts of arrangements.  The stopover hosted by the Dick Woodland Family, is for the riders. There will however, be celebrities available for autographs and pictures.   Volunteers for quick tours, traffic direction and motorcycle security are needed.  The charity ride raises funds for Victory Junction, a year-round camp for kids with life-threatening illnesses. This is the 21st anniversary of the charity ride and marks the first visit to Paso Robles and Estrella Warbirds Museum.

Kyle Petty is an auto racing icon, a champion of philanthropy and one of the most popular personalities in NASCAR. The son of NASCAR champion Richard Petty and grandson of NASCAR pioneer Lee Petty - Kyle followed in their footsteps, starting his 30-year NASCAR career as a Sprint Cup driver in 1979 at age 19, before also becoming an owner and media commentator.  To date the ride has raised more than $16 million for children with chronic or life-threatening illnesses.

If you are interested in helping out with this event, fill out the form here and we'll be in touch!  Thanks!

Pfauter Red Ball Express Building Taking Shape

Phauter Building
The Estrella Warbirds Museum received a generous donation to be used towards the construction of the "Phauter Red Ball Express" building.  This is the second of three major construction projects underway at Estrella Warbirds Museum

The 5000 square foot facility will house an exquisite collection of World War II vehicles, most of which were used in the famous Red Ball Express during WWII.  The vehicles are being provided by Harold Phauter and will compliment our existing collection of frame up restored military vehicles.

Clicking on the picture will take you to the Estrella Warbirds Museum website where you can view more pictures of the construction progress. Completion is scheduled for early summer.
