Re:  In-Parish Rate Changes

Please note that we will boost the in-parish weekly contribution in January 2015 to $17 per week, which is the first increase in 12 years, since 2003.  As you can imagine, the cost of maintaining the buildings and grounds has escalated through the years, so we appreciate your increased donation to address cost expansion.

St. Bridget's Food Pantry As usual, during the Holiday Season we will be collecting non-perishable food for the Food Pantry. They have asked that along with the regular items we include some Thanksgiving and Christmas specialty items, which are assigned according to specific grades i.e. Gr. K1 - stuffing,  K - cranberry sauce,  1 - soup,  2 - canned tuna,  3 - chicken/beef stew,  4 - tomato sauce, 5 - canned fruit/fruit cups, 6 - pasta, 7 -toothpaste, and 8 - Ramen Noodle Soup.

As always, we will gladly accept food and paper goods every day.  The Student Councilors will bring the items over to the Food Pantry in the name of Saint Bridget School students. Because the holiday season is upon us, any and all contributions to the Food Pantry will be accepted on an ongoing basis for the months of November and December. Thank you for your generosity.

FYI: Snow Days, Mr. Rick Gallagher, Director of School Transportation, relying largely upon the Dept. of Public Works and the Police Dept., as well as personal observations, will relay by telephone, the condition of the roads, sidewalks and parking areas at the schools to Dr. Stacey Scott, School Superintendent. The Superintendent will make the decision and notify the school principals and the media. If the radio and television say there is no school in Framingham Public Schools, that means there is no school at St.Bridget's.

The only circumstances under which Mrs. Chaves would make the decision to close the school would be in an emergency specific toSt. Bridget School.

In case of snow please do not call St. Bridget School. We will use our IRIS (Emergency Response System) to notify all families by telephone. Also you can check the radio and television for the announcement regarding Framingham Public Schools." As far as calling school during the day, the same procedure is followed. Since we depend on the school buses, it is the school bus director and the Superintendent of Schools who make that decision and tell us, again we would use the IRIS telephone system to notify you. Every parent should feel free to determine for themselves whether or not their child should come to school when the weather is questionable.
