The Trust will soon launch a capital campaign for improvement of visitor interpretation and access at the National Park. The Trust welcomed US Interior Secretary Sally Jewell to the Park this past spring. Ongoing partnerships with non-profit partners, the Friends of Crater Lake and the Crater Lake Natural History Association, are leading to collaborative efforts, including
an exhibit during Vehicle-Free Day at the Park this September.

Highlights of the 2014 Harvest

"2014 was the earliest harvest I had ever seen.  Up until this year, picking fruit in August seemed like something that happened only in California.  Not this year.  Our first fruit came in on August 25.  Overall, though some yields were 10 - 15% down, the quality of the fruit this vintage (the balance of sugar, acidity and flavor) has exceeded all expectations."  Eric Weisinger,  Weisinger Family Winery.

"Every vintage brings with it unique circumstances. For 2014, it was threefold: drought, heat and smoke late in the growing season. Budbreak was early, as was each facet of development leading to an early harvest, which came six weeks earlier than during the 2010 and 2011 growing seasons. Ultimately, nature gave us a wonderful bounty: perfectly ripe and flavorful clusters that seem to be showing enormous potential in the wines now in barrel! This should prove to be an exceptional year." Brian Denner and Dan Marca, Dancin Vineyards.
List Your Lodging Property in
Travel Oregon's Official Visitor Guide

It's time for Oregon lodging properties to update their property listings for the 2015-2016 Travel Oregon Official Visitor Guide. Oregon Restaurant & Lodging Association (ORLA) is the official provider of lodging listings in the guide - the only statewide print piece for comprehensive lodging listings in Oregon. Through a strategic alliance with Travel Oregon, all properties are afforded a free basic listing in this annual printed guide and online at TravelOregon.com.

Here is how to make sure your property is included:

To get your listing included in the 2015-2016 guides, go online to OregonRLA.org/Lodging Listings and log in with the username and password provided in the letter from ORLA. Properties must update or at least verify the listing information is accurate in order to be included in the guides. While members of ORLA are automatically included, non-members are required to verify their information annually.

If you did not receive a letter in the mail from ORLA:

For new properties (or if you did not receive login credentials) you will need to complete the Basic Listing Form available online. http://www.oregonrla.org/Documents/BasicListingForm-2014-prf1.pdf

ALL updates for the listings must be completed by November 25, 2014.
