Resolutions

Some of you may wonder why people drop off the schedule to complete their new years resolution..... This is simple, either you have set your goal too high and it is unrealistic OR you have not planned properly. Here are some simply planning strategizes and helpful hints to help you stay the course in 2015!

  • Set realistic goals
  • Build sub goals and deadlines to complete
  • Don't make excuses, but provide solutions
  • Get over the speed bumps, tomorrows a new day
  • Celebrate the positives, and forget the negatives

Now that you have some ideas and positive thinking we have listed the top 10 resolutions below with a simple twist to look at them differently.

1.) Lose Weight

Try thinking about making a simple change to your eating habits, plan better and avoid take out. Choose a healthier lifestyle and remember to get over the speed bumps because tomorrows a new day!

2.) Get Organized

Loose the clutter and implement new ways to minimize the growing paperwork and dust collectors!

3.) Spend Less, Save More

The magic word is budget! If you look at a 1 week timeframe and calculate all of your spending, and yes this is to include your Dunkin Doughnuts run every morning, you will see quickly how much you may be able to save!

4.) Enjoy Life To The Fullest

Now keep this close to the vest, you don't want to live everyday as if it was your last..... but to enjoy the moment and think positively is more the thought process here.

5.) Better Yourself With Education

Stop Procrastinating! Were not looking at a masters degree, maybe a simple certificate program, or even a free seminar on a topic of interest!

6.) Learn Something Exciting

Do you truthfully understand how your generator works? Take the time to read the manual, know how to change your oil, understand the homeowners responsibilities and know what to do in case of emergency!

7.) Quit Smoking

CVS and some of the larger drug store chains have made this easy for us, just think of how much money you will save.

8.) Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

Take advantage of city and town recycling programs, most of them are free or little to no charge. Many of the local charities and organization will take your redemption cans and bottles, this way here you can help a cause out at the same time.

9.) Fall In Love

There is no advice that we can give you here........

10.) Spend More Time With Family

Make a quick date maybe just for coffee in the mornings, or a simple lunch. Put it on the calendar once a month to do something with a specific group of people, cousins, aunts, uncles.....?
