Board of Directors Six Points

  1. Two senior high school students will receive their Associates Degrees from New Mexico State University Alamogordo Campus prior to receiving their high school diplomas.  Congratulations to these students, and thank you APS & NMSU-A for the educational pathways you offer!
  2. The Alamogordo Chamber has partnered with Alamogordo Public Schools to promote a community-wide Black & Gold Initiative, bringing Tiger Pride to Alamogordo.
  3. The Alamogordo Chamber of Commerce is revitalizing Partners In Education program.  With the Alamogordo Public Schools, the Chamber will connect local businesses to schools to support their needs.
  4. The New Mexico State University Alamogordo Campus has opened the Alamogordo High School kiosk to assist senior high school students with pre-enrollment and class information for continuing education.
  5. The Alamogordo Chamber is hosting a Spring Fling event on Saturday, March 14th.  Join us on New York Avenue between 8th Street and 10th Street, 10:00 am - 5:00 pm for a family fun event with food, music, entertainment and arts & crafts.
  6. Congratulations to three individuals and their completion in:  Reid Griggs, Leadership New Mexico, Dr. Allan Rickman, retired from the Alamogordo Public School Board of Education, and Lenora Stevens, graduate from Western Association of Chamber Executives.

The Alamogordo Chamber of Commerce is now offering a tech-related training class to the community called Tech Tuesday! This training opportunity is the last Tuesday of each month. Our next class is March 31st at 9:00 am in the Chamber Conference Room 1301 N. White Sands Blvd. The topic is Twitter, presented by Javier Casillas, Comcast Spotlight.

Trinity Site Tour

Join the caravan departing from the Tularosa High School Athletic Field parking lot. Line-up begins at 7 a.m. The tour will enter the missile range through the Tularosa Gate at 8 a.m.; arrive at Trinity Site around 10 a.m. The caravan must stay together. There is no stopping in route to the Trinity Site.  Departure from the Site will begin at 12 p.m. Those who wish to stay longer may exit through the Stallion Gate by 2 p.m.
