JR was given up to The Milwaukee Emergency Center for Animals when he needed a life saving operation.
JR's Story
JR was brought into the Milwaukee Emergency Center for Animals (MECA) with a life threatening obstruction of the urethra.  Dr. Lichtenberger, DVM, DACVECC was able to unblock JR but noticed a couple of hours later, JR was blocked again.

After several attempts to unblock JR, Dr. Lichtenberger realized that if JR was going to make it, he needed a PU  surgery.

After explaining the prognosis and the possible treatment options to keep JR alive, JR's owner surrendered him to MECA as a result of not having the necessary funds to take care of him any longer.

Many of you know Animal Fairy Charities awarded Dr. Lichtenberger the Animal Fairy Charities Award of Distinction during our yearly fundraiser, Rock Be Their Voice this past September. Dr. Lichtenberger Receives Animal Fairy Charities Award of Distinction

One of the reasons we chose Dr. Lichtenberger was because of her dedication and passion to help animals. JR is a true testament of Dr. Lichtenbergers caring and compassionate character.

Animal Fairy Charities Medical Emergency Fund is an important part of our program for helping animals like JR.  Every year we need to replenish this fund.  With your help we can continue to help those who need it most.

Today, because of Animal Fairy Charities Medical ER Fund and MECA, JR is doing wonderfully well and awaits his forever home. Can you help keep this most important fund going?
