Digital Arts Salon
Jason Krugman
Saturday, October 18 at 1pm

Jason Krugman
is an experienced hand working at the intersection of physical computing, fine art and lighting. As an artist and a designer, Krugman specializes in arranging electricity and light within 3-dimensional spaces, taking advantage of many different materials and manufacturing processes to do so.

Jason will present a program on his work during the Digital Arts Salon at the Museum on October 18 at 1pm.  A selection of his work will be display in The Cube through November 22.

Digital Arts Salons are made possible, in part, through the support of a FAB! Knight New Work Award supported by Funding Arts Broward and the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation! Funding for the Coral Springs Museum of Art is provided, in part, by the Broward County Board of County Commissioners as recommended by the Broward Cultural Council.
Fall Exhibition
Through November 22

The Museum's new exhibition for Fall 2014 highlights the photography of Clyde Butcher, plein air paintings of Kurt Knobelsdorf and veterans portraits by Dr. Wilma Siegel. Karolina Sobecka's digital art videos will be on view in The Cube through October 17.

Portraits & Conversations with Veterans returning from Iraq & Afghanistan, a series of watercolor paintings by Dr. Siegel are on view in The Kuhn Family Gallery. This exhibition is accompanied by a series of video interviews by Dr. Siegel with the veterans.

Knobeldorf's suite of 12"x12" paintings, The Way I see It, takes us with perfect pictorial pitch into worlds that we normally drive by. His bringing together of daily life and painterly panache is a singular mix of 19th, early 20th and 21st century, by an artist who look as though he stepped out of a 1950s movie.

Preserving Eden: Clyde Butcher's Florida Photography showcases 36 of Butcher's new works ranging in size from 8"x14" to 5'x8'. Using large format cameras, Butcher's epic exposures sometimes take as long as an hour to capture. His signature techniques allow him (and the viewer) to explore the elaborate detail and textures of Florida's untamed beauty.

Preserving Eden: Clyde Butcher's Florida

Photographs produced by the South Florida Museum, Bishop Planetarium, Inc. Made possible with assistance from  Clyde Butcher Galleries. Exhibit toured by the South Florida Museum Traveling Exhibits Service.

Preserving Eden: Clyde Butcher's Florida Photographs is sponsored by Cozen O'Connor & Williams Financial Services, Inc.
