"Ah! There is nothing like staying at home, for real comfort."

 Jane Austen

One of the most rewarding aspects of my job is collaborating with my clients to determine the goals we want to accomplish in our design plan.  Each of our clients has a story and together we go on a journey making their interior design dreams become a reality.  Recently, we worked with a client that wanted to incorporate some beautiful and sentimental antiques she had inherited from her mother with some new, modern pieces.  The result was stunning.  Some of the photos from this design project are included in our Featured Projects section below.  Remember, your home should be the place where memories are made and your surroundings should reflect that.

Forever Grateful,

What's Hot?
Mixing new and antique pieces to create a warm and inviting space.

  What's Not?
Decorating an entire room with no personal elements.

Did you know that hiring an interior designer can save you money?

Why pay retail?  A designer knows where to go for resources for everything related to your home. This will save you endless amounts of time researching products, brands and prices. A designer will have all this readily on hand.

Develop a game plan

A designer will work with you to develop a budget and save you time and effort.
Hiring a designer can help you to avoid costly mistakes, educate you on current trends that will not only help you save money but can increase the value of your home.

What stays and what goes?

A designer can give you a professional assessment that leads to a plan of action. Determining what can be re-purposed in a room and what should be edited is a key component in any budget and helps you to spend your money more efficiently.

Expand your resources.  There are things available to designers that are not available to the general public in terms of connections, resources and general merchandise. By culminating these resources designers can  help to make your space look more collected, unique and pulled together. Because designers are in the industry, they are your go to resource for all home improvements including recommendations on contractors, new appliances and flooring etc.

If you are looking to update a room, replace a old and worn couch or replacing a dining room table then let us help you choose one that fits your design needs.  Why pay retail?  I represent multiple furniture lines and am a great resource for getting the best furniture, rugs, and accessories at the best prices.  Here are a few recently placed pieces...kat

Featured Project

The design plan for this project was to integrate cherished antiques with some new pieces in order to keep the house feeling modern and fresh.  It turned out beautifully.

Sun Room: We reupholstered existing chairs.  Then added a greek tape trim in navy to existing window treatments to make them feel crisp and clean.  By incorporating a new navy ottoman, some beautiful accessories and a sisal rug we made this the go to room for reading and coffee time.

Dining Room:  We updated inherited chairs with linen slipcovers and added a new ebony dining table and new sconces to compliment the vintage one already owned.  A
gorgeous embroidered drapery kept the room fresh. We chose a Sisal grass rug to be installed to ensure casual elegance.

Family Room: The client wanted a more masculine, "resort" feel while continuing to incorporate some inherited treasures. We loved the kelly green, navy and wheat palette that achieved just the right balance.   Drapes all the way to the ceiling and an over-sized chandelier help the two story room feel warm.   Previously opened book cases were detailed with doors and handsomely accessorized.  New club chairs and benches flanking the fireplace allow more seating for this family that entertains regularly.  And we love the mirror....just featured in last month's Traditional Home!

We were able to give this client the right mix of new items to update some beautiful antique pieces they already owned.  The mixing of the new and the old offered our client the perfect balance of cherishing the past, living in the present and looking forward to the future.  For more photos on this project and others, keep checking our website and Facebook page (listed below)
