Looking at the Root Cause

One of the most common mistakes parents make when kids misbehave is to react (often by shouting) rather than identifying the root cause. What works better is to deal with your child's behavior as objectively as possible. Try asking your child what's going on. Remember, if your children are tired, hungry or overstimulated, they may find it difficult to behave.

Fun with Hair Gel and Shaving Cream

Put hair gel in a zip lock bag and add a few drops of food coloring. Seal the bag and duct tape the top. Squish and squish until mixed. Or try spraying some shaving cream on a tray, add drops of food coloring and have your child mix to create swirls and patterns.
