Alexis whispered a secret
to Lily at recess.

"My daddy likes to have a special time with me in my room at night. We play the touching game. He said it's a secret, so I can't tell."

Blue Sky Bridge had been in Lily's class the week before. There she learned that it's never okay to keep a secret. Lily convinced Alexis to tell her story to Blue Sky Bridge.

Alexis came to Blue Sky Bridge and told her story during a forensic interview. She had been abused by her father for years.

Her mother was immediately referred to counselors, support groups and other resources for them both. Her father was prosecuted and convicted.

Alexis is safe now and
has begun healing.

We are writing to you today to ask for your help. Alexis' story illustrates the entire circle of work we do here at Blue Sky Bridge. We  wouldn't be able to do any of this without your support. All of our services are free, from our School-Based Prevention Education Program to our forensic interviews and family support.  Your dollars directly affect the lives of families in crisis.  Please consider giving today!

WHAT YOUR DOLLARS ARE USED FOR

Education:  Our School-Based Prevention Education Program seeks to equip 3rd grade students throughout the Boulder Valley School District and St. Vrain Valley School District with tools to use against abuse.  Through a universal approach of teaching parents, teachers and students, the child's learning is reinforced at school and at home, long after we leave.

Forensic Interviews: We work with law enforcement, human services and the District Attorney's office, among others, to offer non-duplicative, legally sound, neutral interviews with children who are reported victims of abuse or witnesses to violence.  These interviews are conducted by masters-level, highly trained forensic interviewers in child-friendly interview rooms.

Family Support: Blue Sky Bridge equips, empowers and advocates for victims of suspected abuse and their non-offending family members.  Services include crisis intervention, resource referrals and assistance with victim's compensation.

We appreciate your support,
