Hi Everyone,

I hope all my friends in the USA had a very Happy Thanksgiving Day !

Even though my family and I now live in Germany, we still remember the American Thanksgiving Day traditions and continue to celebrate it that way. In deep roots remember we are always American.

Thanksgiving in German Europe has a long tradition too, but one that is different in many ways from that in North America. First of all, the Germanic Erntedankfest ("harvest festival of thanks") is primarily a rural and a religious celebration. When it is celebrated in larger cities, it is usually part of a church service and not anything like the big traditional family holiday in North America. Although it is celebrated locally and regionally, none of the German-speaking countries observes an official national Thanksgiving holiday on a particular day, as in Canada or the U.S.

Erntedankfest is often celebrated on the first Sunday in October, which is usually also the first Sunday following Michaelistag or Michaelmas (29 Sept.), but various locales may give thanks at different times during September and October. This puts the Germanic thanksgiving closer to Canada's Thanksgiving holiday in early October.

Hello all, I was asked by a few people to repost my earlier chat from tonight. It certainly lines up with the Dec. 1 anticipated timeline for the Economic Reform in Iraq as promised to the people of Iraq by their government.

Here it is:

PART 1 - My friends nephew has a close friend who is in Bagdad. This is the message I got from my friend a few hours ago: "I have word from _____(nephew) who has a soldier friend in Bagdad and he is telling what is going on. Street parties --celebrations everywhere....

PART 2: "Took a couple days to set it up he said ... even one of Bagdad's most crucial thorough fairs is blocked off to make more space! Took a couple of days to set it up"--he said.

A high level Kurdish delegation led by Kurdistan PM Nechirvan Barzani will visit Baghdad on Sunday to meet with their Iraqi counterparts in the latest round of negotiations between the federal government and Erbil.

A Kurdish official told Rudaw that the focus of the meetings will be Kurdistan Region's budget that has been blocked by Baghdad for almost a year. The Kurdish delegation will be meeting Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi, President Fuad Masum and Parliamentary speaker Salim al-Jibouri. Deputy PM Qubad Talabani, Kurdistan's Minister of Natural Resources Ashti Hawrami and Finance Minister Rebaz Hamlan will be part of the delegation...!

Normonros: IMO, the next 48hours could prove to be hugely pivotal for time Iraqi citizens and us Dinar holders.

Perhaps we should all keep a very, very, very close eye on the news that comes out of the Parliament meeting with items like 2014 and 2015 budgets, vote on the basket of 400 laws...also, the ISX President's meeting, Barzani/delegation arriving on Sunday and the mother of announcements---no legislative recess until the work is done.

I'm really stoked about all this and I hope you will be too.
