The Urban Institute is dedicated to identifying and understanding the dynamic components within the urban context. The institute will focus on collaboration, discipleship, diversity, economic development, housing, justice, worship, and other areas which church and lay leaders will find useful in building bridges with those who live in the urban environment in the 21st century. We will focus on concrete realities and work to re-position ourselves using the Word of God and our Lutheran heritage to implement strategies which will empower us to be effective in kingdom work. Under the theme Life Together we will focus on the area of diversity. Lay leaders, professional church workers, and district leaders are invited.
