Festival of Learnshops 
July 11-27, 2014

For two weeks every July, Berea offers over 150 classes, in crafts, art, music, literature, cooking, and so much more. Come and take one class  or stay a while and take several.  Sessions last from two hours to two or more days. Come immerse yourself in Berea's culture of learning and fun. Skills for Earth-Friendly Living
Over 60 workshops featuring old time and traditional Appalachian living skills in a family-friendly atmosphere.  Home Canning, Backyard Chickens, How to Play the Banjo, and many more. A low-cost event with free tent camping, healthy home-cooked meals, guest speakers, campfires, mountain and bluegrass music, dancing, and workshops throughout the day.

Horse Drawn Carriage Rides   
Boone Tavern
Most Saturdays and Sundays 
 

Enjoy lunch or dinner at the grand Boone Tavern hotel and follow it with a peaceful carriage ride guided by Christine Seals of Whistle Stop Stables.  Her majestic Percheron horses will take you back to a simpler time as you enjoy the ride through the town of Berea.

The Potters of Madison County, KY

This exhibit features the work of twenty local artists showcasing the exceptional talent in the area.   

 

Quilts with a Kick

This exhibit is by the Quilt Artists of Kentucky. Quilts are submitted in one of two categories - the Challenge category this year is "Mother Earth." The other category is "Quilter's Choice."
