The Spartanburg Downtown Association

is pleased to announce
its commitment of $10,000 for the purchase of Series C Preferred Stock in the Hub City Co-op.
We made this commitment because we believe in the Co-op, and we want to do our part to ensure
that they meet their $350,000 challenge goal by October 31, 2014 in order to receive a matching
grant by the City of Spartanburg.

We are impressed by the Co-op's ability to stay ahead of the national average time frame for co-op development, and we believe that this investment made from our earned revenue is consistent with
our mission statement to advocate for downtown Spartanburg and be a guiding force for positive growth
and improvement of the downtown area.

The SDA considers the Co-op to be of great value to downtown Spartanburg - adding energy, jobs,
and foot traffic to all of our downtown establishments. We are pleased to serve our community by
supporting this effort, and we are proud of the City of Spartanburg for doing their part to see that the
Co-op succeeds ahead of schedule.

We need your help! We ask that you please consider supporting the Hub City Co-op in reaching their $350,000 matching grant challenge by October 31, 2014.
