NEW BIBLE CLASSES!

Hello Parents and Guardians!  Students received their Bible Elective signup form today, and we want to give you an opportunity to see what Bible electives we are offering next semester so you can help your student complete the form.  Please follow the link below to view the form, which is due Monday. If you have any questions you can email Dave.
NEW LUNCH PROGRAM

Due to challenges with the current lunch ordering system, we will be changing to another lunch system for next semester. We will choose it in the coming weeks and let you know as soon as possible. You will continue to order lunches in advance and pay in advance. If extra lunches are available on a given day, they will be offered for $5.

The current lunch system did not have the needed capability to serve our small school sufficiently. This led to confusion when ordering and paying. To close out the old system, there will be a full evaluation of who has ordered, who has eaten, and who has paid. It is possible that you will be contacted to become current on your student's lunch account.

BUEN VIAJE!
Grace Prep Goes to Ecuador

Grace Prep senior Claire Shearer has planned a Spanish immersion/medical mission trip to Ecuador for January 6th-15th for her senior project. Brittany Anderson, Haley Galliano, and Caroline Spang are the upper-level Spanish students participating in the the trip. Meagan Williamson and Jarrod Sechler will be the chaperones for the trip.

Please remember to keep the Ecuador team in your prayers before, during, and after their trip!
SENIORS AND PARENTS: COLLEGE FINANCING

If you plan to apply for federal financial aid for college, go to https://fafsa.ed.gov/.

Both a parent and the student need to create a PIN number. It's recommended you do this NOW as it can take awhile to receive your number.

Then, remember to have your tax return ready to go as soon as possible so you can have accurate financial aid information when making your college choice.
COUNSELING AVAILABLE

We now have a counselor available to meet with students during the day on Thursdays. This is a free service, but involves a small amount of paperwork to get started. If your think your student would benefit by this, then please email Jane or call the school office.
COLLEGE PREP RESOURCES
Parents of juniors and seniors, check out the free resources at the College Board Website. The website offers general college planning guidelines and Financial Aid 101.

BASKETBALL ON THE MOVE

It was a character building week for Grace Prep basketball and the coaches appreciate the teams' effort and attitude in the face of tough competition.

Our last game of the month is tonight against Juniata Mennonite.  Young ladies start at 5:30 followed by the young men at 7:00.  Players should be at C3 by 4:45 for setup/warmup.  There will NOT be a bus from the school to the game for this game. Parents, there are still open slots for the admission table.  Please sign up here:  http://www.signupgenius.com/go/30E0D4EADA72DA57-grace/6835333  and contact Lori Tricou with questions.

We have practice at normal time on Monday. Tuesday's practice is from noon to 2 and our first practice of the new year is Tuesday, January 2nd from 2 to 4.
DRAMA NEWS!

After much reading, perusing, studying, and poring over multiple musicals - one has finally been chosen. After much sweat, tears, and literally a dozen headaches ~ we will be doing ANNIE JR. This junior version will be KID FRIENDLY and FUN FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY TO ENJOY!

Lisa has the Audition Information: character breakdowns/scores/scripts ready for the Christmas break so students can "do their homework" for Auditions. Auditions will be the last week in January. The music is fun! The choreography will be fun as well!

Based on the popular comic strip by Harold Gray, Annie, the world-wide phenomenon, was the winner of seven TONY Awards including Best Musical and is now adapted for young performers in ANNIE JR. The beloved book and score by TONY Award winners Thomas Meehan, Charles Strouse and Martin Charnin features some of the greatest musical theatre hits ever written including "Tomorrow".

With equal measures of pluck and positivity, little orphan Annie charms everyone's hearts despite a next-to-nothing start in 1930s New York City. She is determined to find her parents who abandoned her years ago on the doorstep of a New York City Orphanage run by the cruel, embittered Miss Hannigan. With the help of the other girls in the Orphanage, Annie escapes to the wondrous world of NYC. In adventure after fun-filled adventure, Annie foils Miss Hannigan's evil machinations and even befriends President Franklin Delano Roosevelt. She finds a new home and family in billionaire Oliver Warbucks, his personal secretary Grace Farrell, and a lovable mutt named Sandy.

With plenty of parts to go around, including featured roles as well as ensemble parts for orphans, servants, and tourists, Annie JR. is ideal for productions involving different grade levels where students may be maturing at different rates. The cast size and age range of the parts are flexible and the bright, tuneful score is easy to sing and filled with familiar numbers like "It's the Hard Knock Life" and "Tomorrow."

Many parents that participate in Grace Prep's SCRIP program are able to skip their June payment entirely or at least pay a greatly reduced amount. It is easy to participate in the program, and some families have found that it helps with budgeting.

After signing up, you may access your account and pay for gift cards from your favorite grocery stores, gas stations, clothing stores, and restaurants. Then, when you visit these locations, you pay for your purchases with your gift cards. Each gift card purchase saves you tuition money.
