THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY TRAFFIC RELIEF

Good news for motorists, holiday shoppers and business owners.

There'll be no lane closures along Kamehameha Highway through Aiea and Pearl City or on Farrington Highway through Waipahu next week on Thanksgiving Day and Black Friday, November 27 and 28.

The move will allow traffic to flow freely day and night during one of the busiest shopping days of the year.

Additionally, people traveling to family gatherings on Thanksgiving should enjoy a hassle-free commute.

Crews will work along Farrington Highway and Kamehameha Highway Sunday through Wednesday next week, and lane closures for those days are outlined in the Weekly Traffic Alert section below.

Also, those lanes and highways that have been closed 24/7 will remain closed.

Construction crews will resume their regular work schedule on Sunday, November 30.

The HART Ohana wishes you and yours a safe and Happy Thanksgiving.

Come join the Department of Planning and Permitting, the Urban Land Institute-Hawaii and HART tomorrow at the Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) Symposium at the Blaisdell Center.
