National Competition
The 2015 Academic WorldQuest National Competition will take place Saturday, April 25, 2015 at the Georgetown University Hotel and Conference Center in Washington, DC.

Call for Applications: Spotlight on Turkey
The World Affairs Councils of America and the Turkish Cultural Foundation have announced the ninth year of the Spotlight on Turkey program. Applications are due Wednesday, November 12. Application Details

Combating Human Trafficking 

Carlson & The Carlson Family Foundation renewed funding of the World Affairs Councils of America's national program on combating human trafficking. More than 30 World Affairs Councils participated in the 2013 program, which featured screenings of the documentary film Not My Life. The 2014 program features discussion forums as well as film screenings.

WAC Philadelphia Livestream - Oct. 29 
The World Affairs Council of Philadelphia hosts "The End of Greatness: Will America Have (or Do We Need) Another Great President?" on Wednesday, October 29, starting at 5:45 PM ET. The program features Aaron David Miller, Vice President for New Initiatives, Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, and Prof. David Eisenhower, University of Pennsylvania, with welcoming remarks from Cynthia MacLeod, Superintendent, Independence National Historical Park. 

The program will be held at Philadelphia's Congress Hall as part of the World Affairs Council of Philadelphia's "Great Debates Series." This fourth segment of the "Great Debates" series is a rare public event in Congress Hall, and marks the first time an event will be livestreamed from this historic location. Details
